Case Study: Logo Design Process of ‘Delight’

Posted by on Mar 13, 2011 in Case Studies, Logo | 15 comments

Recently I have designed a logo for my friend’s new business. He has just opened a firm related to production of fancy house holds lights and chandeliers. His company name is ‘Delight | The Lighting Hub’. I had produced several concepts for him, out of that here’s the final version.

Delight Logo | Imbalance Colors

Requirements

Logo IconHe wanted a text base logo. He showed me some other company logos like CocaCola, United Colors of Benetton & Fedex etc. He did wanted a ionic identity but through a typography not individually.

His another point was to reflect his name in logo. Now that was bit difficult. His name is “Gagandeep Singh”. Although you can say that this is typically Indian logo design trend to mark of your name with your profession should reflect in logo design. That’s why I have made some stress with a ‘chandelier’ on Delight’s ‘G’. Now It has made an individually ionic identity, as shown in image.

There is nothing more inspiring than an empty sheet of paper
